Her site-specific installations, soft sculptures, photographs and publications, are rooted in both the language of materials and the locational identity of the American West. Drawing from her background in craftwork and her experiences in the wool industry, Lillegard uses her labor as a lens, making work that reveals the subtle undercurrents of place and belonging.
